Salary : Max 3.4 LPA OVERVIEW OF BUSINESS UNIT / FUNCTIONAL AREA Flipkart.com has multiple high level product categories focusing on specific products like “Books”, “Mobile phones” and “DVDs / Movies”. Each of such categories focuses on building supplier and brand relationships, pricing, market research and the detailed catalog. RESPONSIBILITIES As part of the business development team for Books, Media and Videos etc. the person will be responsible for:
• Building and developing supplier / distributor relationships
• Managing accounts of suppliers / distributors
• Responsible for the stock updates and inventory information from each of the suppliers / distributors managed by them
• Manage the company accounts for direct relationships with the brands
• Responsible for market research on price data, product movement, competition pricing, product bundling, etc.
• The candidate will be required to frequently travel across the region of responsibility and keep oneself and the company updated on information from the market as well as the supplier
• Develop a very good understanding of the category and become an expert on the sales and supply side of the given category
REQUIREMENTS • MBA (preferably Marketing)
• At least 1 year experience in Vendor Relations, Sales, BD, Account Management
• Should have basic understanding of Excel
• Should have excellent communication skill
• Extremely good in inter-personal skills – ability in striking conversation borne out with examples in prior work experience
• Should have a good presentation
• Should be an extroverted personality who enjoys being and talking with people, high energy level and a positive approach.
• Should be a quick learner and target oriented.
• Should be a self starter and Good team player.
